Editor review

Ink Training is a sports-arcade with a tactic-card overlay. Pick two cards per match from a fixed deck of twelve, and used cards return to the deck at the next match. The card system is the design choice that differentiates this title from the standard arcade sports template.

The card pool is reasonably balanced. Two cards are slightly above the curve and most players will use them in critical matches; the rest are situationally useful. The choice-pressure is real without being punishing.

Played across a Auckland Auckland ferry commute and a Saturday afternoon. Each match runs around four to six minutes with the card system slowing the loop slightly.

The weak spot is the tutorial. The card system has subtle interactions and the tutorial does not cover them well. New players will fight the cards before they fight the AI. Three stars; the cards are strong and the tutorial needs a pass.
